| SPARK PLUG INSPECTION The spark plugs are important engine components, which should be checked periodically. 1. Remove the spark plug cap and the spark plug. 2. Check for discoloration and remove the carbon.
3. Check the spark plug type and gap.
Note: The spark plug gap should be measured with a wire thickness gauge and, if necessary, adjusted to specification. 4. Install the spark plug.
Note: If a torque wrench is not available when installing a spark plug, a good estimate of the correct torque is 1/4-1/2 turn past finger tight. However, the spark plug should be tightened to the specified torque as soon as possible. |

| FUEL Warning o Fuel is highly flammable and poisonous. Check “SAFETY INFORMATION” (See page 7) carefully before refueling. o Do not fill above the top of the fuel filter or it may overflow when the fuel heats up later and expands. o Wipe up any spilled fuel immediately. o After refueling, make sure the tank cap is tightened securely. Caution o Immediately wipe off spilled fuel with a clean, dry, soft cloth, since fuel may deteriorate painted surfaces or plastic parts. o Use only unleaded gasoline. The use of leaded gasoline will cause severe damage to internal engine parts. _____________________________ Make sure there is sufficient fuel in the tank.
